Music in an Integrated Early Childhood Education

Description

Designed to develop basic musical understanding and skills, and music appreciation in young children through participation in expressive activities such as singing, rhythmic movement, and playing musical instruments. Emphasis on creativity as well as music integration into an early childhood curriculum. Teacher candidates learn to select materials and develop activities developmentally appropriate for young children's needs. A variety of media and computer technologies are explored to determine how they can enhance musical experience.
